Deposit

A deposit is the process of adding funds to a platform, wallet, or account. In crypto, a deposit can mean sending cryptocurrency from an external wallet to a trading platform, or adding Canadian dollars or other fiat currencies to an account before placing a trade. A crypto deposit moves on a blockchain and usually requires a supported wallet address and the correct network. A fiat deposit moves through a payment method such as Interac e-Transfer, bank wire, or other traditional and familiar methods, depending on the platform.
