Frequently Asked Questions

Ndax charges a flat 0.20% trading fee on the value of every buy and sell. There are no volume tiers and no maker/taker split, so the rate is the same at any size. For example, a $5,000 trade costs $10.00 in trading fees.

You trade at the displayed order-book price, with the 0.20% commission charged on top and shown before you place the order. For full details on how trades are priced, see the Ndax User Agreement

For most purchases the main explicit platform fee is the flat 0.20% trading commission — Interac, wire, and crypto deposits are free, and the crypto withdrawal fee is a flat network amount rather than a percentage. Here's a worked all-in example of buying $1,000 of Bitcoin and moving it to your own wallet:

Trading fee (0.20%)$2.00
CAD depositFREE
BTC withdraw0.00005 BTC
Total fees$2.00 + 0.00005 BTC

Figures illustrative. The withdrawal fee is deducted in-kind from the crypto you send, and both the 0.20% trading fee and the flat withdrawal fee are shown before you confirm.

The minimum to place a trade is small — roughly $1 to $5 CAD, depending on the coin. The exact minimum for each asset is shown when you trade. If you hold a balance below the minimum, the Dust Conversion tool can convert it to Bitcoin. See the full list of minimum trade sizes.

No. Interac e-Transfer, bank wire, and crypto deposits are all free, with no minimum deposit to start and no Ndax-side deposit limit, though your own bank may set its own limits or hours. Crypto deposits are credited after the required network confirmations.

When you withdraw crypto to an external wallet, Ndax broadcasts a real transaction on that coin's blockchain. Each blockchain charges its own fee to process transactions, and that cost differs from chain to chain. Ndax's flat withdrawal fee is set to cover this network cost, which is why sending Bitcoin costs a different amount than sending USDC — and why the same asset can cost more or less depending on the network you choose.

A network fee is paid to the blockchain itself to confirm a transaction — a miner fee on Bitcoin, a gas fee on Ethereum. It rises and falls with how busy the network is, and no exchange controls it.

Ndax's withdrawal fee is the single flat amount you're charged to send crypto off the platform, set to cover that underlying network cost. You pay one flat figure per asset and network, shown before you confirm.
