Can I deposit from a joint, business, or someone else's account?

Why the name has to match

Interac e-Transfers and wires to your Ndax account need to come from a bank account in your own name. Ndax can't accept deposits from someone else's account without more information, and they may be rejected. Deposits from a joint account may need proof of joint ownership, and business deposits need an Ndax business account.

Ndax is required by law to know where deposits come from. Matching the sender's name to your Ndax account helps meet these obligations and protects your account.

Rules by account type
Account type What to know
Your personal account Accepted when the account is in the same name as your Ndax account.
Someone else's account Not accepted without more information. The deposit needs manual review and may be rejected.
Joint bank account Accepted, but may be delayed if the deposit arrives under the other account holder's name. You may need to provide proof of joint ownership.
Business or corporate account You need an Ndax business account. To apply, email [email protected] and [email protected] with the subject line "Business Account Application".
What happens if a deposit is rejected?

If Ndax can't accept a deposit from someone else's account, Ndax starts a refund. Refunds can take up to 5 business days from when Ndax starts them. In some cases, legal obligations may affect whether or when funds can be returned.
