What Is Auto Earn and How Does It Work?

What is Auto Earn?

Auto Earn is an optional Ndax feature that automatically enrolls eligible crypto in your account so it can receive rewards, with no fixed lock-up period. You turn it on once, and Ndax enrolls your eligible assets every day. Ndax pays Auto Earn rewards weekly. Like any crypto product, Auto Earn involves some risk, and reward rates can change.

How Auto Earn works
  • You enable Auto Earn once and accept the Auto Earn Opt-In Disclosure.
  • Ndax enrolls all eligible assets in your account’s available balance at the next daily enrollment sweep, which runs at 7:00 AM UTC.
  • New eligible crypto is enrolled automatically. This includes crypto you buy or deposit while Auto Earn is enabled.
  • Enrolled assets receive rewards based on each asset's advertised reward rate (APY). Rates are shown before the administration fee, which is deducted from your rewards. If Ndax changes a rate, you'll be notified in advance.
  • Ndax pays rewards weekly, every Monday at 12:00 AM UTC.
  • You can release an asset at any time to trade or withdraw it. A release is not always immediate. If Ndax's available liquidity is limited, part or all of the release may wait in a queue.
Auto Earn terms
TermMeaning
Enrollment sweep The enrollment sweep is the once-daily process, at 7:00 AM UTC, that adds eligible crypto to Auto Earn.
Pending Enrollment Pending Enrollment is the status of an eligible asset that is waiting for the next enrollment sweep.
Advertised reward rate (APY) The advertised reward rate is the yearly rate Ndax uses to calculate Auto Earn rewards for an asset, before the administration fee. If Ndax changes a rate, you'll be notified in advance.
Release A release is a request to move an enrolled asset out of Auto Earn so you can trade or withdraw it.
Release queue The release queue is Ndax's internal waiting list for release requests that can't be completed right away because Ndax's available liquidity for that asset is limited.
24-hour grace period The 24-hour grace period is the time a released asset stays out of Auto Earn before it can be re-enrolled.
Who can use Auto Earn?

To use Auto Earn, you first need to complete the staking questionnaire, which you can start from the Auto Earn dashboard. Ndax uses your answers to check whether staking services are right for you. If they aren't, Auto Earn won't be available on your account.

What you can see on the Auto Earn page
  • Your enrolled balance for each asset.
  • Rewards received.
  • Your upcoming reward payment date.
  • The average advertised reward rate across your enrolled assets.
  • Any assets with Pending Enrollment or releases in progress.
Is Auto Earn the same as Ndax Staking?

No. Auto Earn and Ndax Staking are separate programs. Some assets are eligible for both, but each program has its own reward rates, balances, and reward schedules. See Auto Earn vs. Ndax Staking.
