How to Buy Cryptocurrency on Ndax

Before You Begin
  • To buy cryptocurrency on Ndax, you need:
  • An active and verified Ndax account.
  • Available Canadian dollars (CAD) in your account.
  • Your available balance must cover the full purchase amount and applicable fees. 
DESKTOP
  • Log in to your Ndax account using your email and password.
  • Tap Trade on the left-hand side of the screen.
  • On the Trade page, tap Buy (green button) on the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  • Click the small grey arrow on the upper left corner and select the crypto/CAD  pair.
  • Select Market.
  • Enter the order size in crypto or the value of CAD you want to spend.
  • Tap Place Buy Order.

Review the order summary before confirming. 

MOBILE WEB
  • Login to your Ndax account.
  • Tap the Ndax Symbol on the top left-hand corner.
  • Tap Trade from the dropdown menu.
  • On the trade page, tap on the search at the top left and enter the crypto symbol.
  • Tap on the up/down arrow at the bottom of the page.
  • Tap the Buy (green button) at the top left.
  • Enter the order size in crypto or the value of CAD you want to spend.
  • Tap Place Buy Order.
  • Tap Confirm.

Review the order summary before confirming. 

MOBILE APP
  • Log in to the Ndax app using your email and password.
  • On the bottom navigation bar, tap the Ndax logo to open the menu.
  • Tap Trade to access the trading page.
  • Tap on the current market pair (e.g., BTC/CAD) to open the list of available markets, then select the cryptocurrency you wish to purchase.
  • Tap the Buy button located at the bottom left of the screen.
  • In the Order Size field, enter the amount of cryptocurrency you want to purchase — or in the Order Value field, enter the amount of CAD you want to spend.

Review the order summary before confirming. 

What Happens After You Buy
  • A market buy order attempts to execute immediately at the best available price.
  • Once filled, the cryptocurrency is added to your Ndax wallet.
  • You can review completed trades in Order History or Trade History.
  • Execution price depends on market conditions and available liquidity. 
Things to Keep in Mind
  • Market orders prioritize execution speed rather than price control.
  • Final execution price may differ slightly from the last displayed price.
  • Trading fees apply to all executed trades (currently 0.2% per trade). 
Troubleshooting
  • If you are unable to place a buy order:
  • Confirm your account verification is complete.
  • Ensure you have sufficient available CAD.
  • Verify the correct trading pair is selected.
  • If issues persist, contact Ndax Support with your order details.
