How to Withdraw BTC using Lightning Network
BTC Withdrawal Network Options
When withdrawing BTC, you will now have three network options to choose from:
- Bitcoin (on-chain)
- Binance Smart Chain (BEP20)
- Lightning Network
The Lightning Network provides an additional option designed for speed and efficiency, especially for smaller or time-sensitive transactions.
Key Differences: Lightning Network vs Bitcoin Network
| Feature | Bitcoin Network (On-Chain) | Lightning Network |
| Speed | Minutes to hours | Seconds |
| Transaction Method | Wallet address | Lightning invoice |
| Best Use Case | Large transfers | Small, fast payments |
When Should You Use the Lightning Network?
The Lightning Network is ideal if you want to:
- Transfer BTC quickly between platforms
- Minimize transaction fees
- Send smaller amounts efficiently
For larger transfers, or when sending to wallets that do not support Lightning, the standard Bitcoin network may be the better option.
