A bull market is a period when asset prices are generally rising and market sentiment is strong. The term is typically used across all asset classes. In crypto, typical signs of a bull market include higher trading volume, more new users, heightened media attention, and stronger demand for many crypto assets. There is no established definition, but the term bull market is used when comparing prices over a longer period of time, often months or years. Bull markets do not guarantee future performance and can abruptly end with little to no warning. The first major, widely recognized bull market in crypto occurred in 2013 when Bitcoin skyrocketed from below $20 to over $1,100.
