How to Use Dust Conversion to Turn Your Small Crypto Balances Into Bitcoin

Dust is a term used to describe small balances of crypto assets that are leftover in your Ndax wallet from placing trades or withdrawals. Because dust amounts are below the minimum balance requirement for trades or withdrawals, they couldn’t previously be exchanged for another crypto asset or withdrawn to another wallet.  

Now, Ndax offers Dust Conversion, a helpful tool to convert dust balances into Bitcoin. When you use the dust conversion feature, we will sell your dust balances in exchange for satoshis, which are the fractional units of Bitcoin. 

Desktop Instructions

• Login to your Ndax account, then navigate to your Wallet.  
• If you have available dust balances to convert, you will see a button on the top-right corner of the page that says, “Turn your crypto dust into Satoshis”. Click this button to proceed. 
• On the “Dust Conversion” page, you will see your available dust balances. Click the checkbox next to the asset you wish to convert, then click acknowledgement at the bottom of the screen. 
• Click convert. A confirmation window will appear showing the number of  
• Satoshis (fractions of a Bitcoin) that you will receive in exchange for your crypto asset dust. Review this information, then click Convert. 
• All done! You will see a screen that indicates that your dust conversion is in progress. You can close this page or navigate away.  

You can view the details of your dust conversion on the Transaction History tab once it is completed.

Mobile Instructions

• Login to your Ndax mobile app. 
• Click the blue Ndax icon to launch the feature menu. 
• Select “Dust Conversion”. 
• On the “Dust Conversion” screen, you will see your available dust balances. Click the checkbox next to the asset you wish to convert, then click "review conversion estimate” at the bottom of the screen. 
• A confirmation window will appear showing the number of satoshis (fractions of a Bitcoin) that you will receive in exchange for your crypto asset dust. Review this information, then click Convert. 
• All done! You will see a screen that indicates that your dust conversion is in progress. You can close this page or navigate away.

You can view the details of your dust conversion on the Transaction History tab once it is completed.
