What Documents Are Accepted for Identity Verification?

Accepted Identity Verification Documents

To complete identity verification, upload one of the following government-issued photo IDs:

  • Driver's Licence
  • Passport (Canadian or foreign)
  • Citizenship Card (issued prior to 2012)
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • Secure Certificate of Indian Status
  • Provincial or territorial photo identification card

Your ID must:

  • Be issued by a federal, provincial, or territorial government authority
  • Be valid and not expired
  • Be clear, legible, and in colour
  • Display your full name, date of birth, photograph, and unique identifying number 
Proof of Address Documents

For most users, proof of address is not required during the initial verification process. However, the Ndax compliance team may request it in certain situations.

If requested, you can provide one of the following:

Government-issued documents: Canada Pension Plan (CPP) statement, municipal property tax assessment, provincially issued vehicle registration, or a CRA Notice of Assessment.

Other accepted Canadian documents: Utility bill (electricity, water, or telecommunications), bank or credit card statement, mortgage statement, T4 statement, or investment account statement (e.g., RRSP or GIC).
